The Kingdom of NorAuthwik (2012 - 2015)

Established in 2012 as a political thought experiment by four originating founders, the Kingdom of NorAuthwik flourished under the reign of its initial sovereign, His Royal Majesty, King William von Hanover. It became a MicroNation celebrating itself on freedom of political expression, self-expression, unique Principles and the pursuit of innovative governance. 

By 2015, the Kingdom reached a defining juncture when HM King William abdicated the throne and retired from MicroNationalism, sparking a pivotal referendum that engaged both the local and online communities. This democratic process sought to redefine NorAuthwik’s governance structure, taking into account its size, mission, and the foundational principles it was built upon.

Following spirited debate in the II Parliament, a consensus was reached to transition from a kingdom to a principality; Connecting with both its size, and principle based nature.

This decision, signed into law by the Chancellor—later Prime Minister—HRH The Rt. Hon. Justin Nicholas von Hanover-Lausenburg, set the stage for NorAuthwik’s next chapter.

The Diarchy of NorAuthwik (2015 - 2018)

The outcome of the change in government structure marked a transformative moment in NorAuthwik’s history, leading to the establishment of a Diarchal Principality—a unique governance structure defined by dual sovereigns reigning over the MicroNation. 

This innovative system brought forth the reign of two monarchs united under one crown: His Royal and Sovereign Highness, Prince Nathaniel von Hanover-Lausenburg, and Her Royal and Sovereign Highness, Princess Kacey Keara von Hanover-Lausenburg (formerly Princess Katherine). Entrusted by Parliament, the Diarchy embodied collaboration and shared leadership, navigating NorAuthwik through an era of growth and evolution.

Return to Singular Throne (2018)

The Principality of NorAuthwik demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability during a period of transition marked by the temporary retirement of His Royal and Sovereign Highness, Prince Nathaniel von Hanover-Lausenburg, who stepped back from royal duties to pursue educational endeavors.

In this interim period, Her Royal and Sovereign Highness, Princess Kacey Keara von Hanover-Lausenburg, rose to the occasion as the sole acting monarch. With unwavering resolve and visionary leadership, Princess Kacey skillfully guided the Principality, ensuring stability and continuity.

Upon Prince Nathaniel’s return in January 2018, Princess Kacey graciously relinquished her claim to the diarchal throne, championing the restoration of a singular monarchy. Her advocacy for this change reflected a shared commitment to the future of NorAuthwik. The motion to solidify this governance structure was passed in Parliament later that spring, marking the culmination of NorAuthwik’s journey from diarchy to a principality governed by its foundational principles. This transition emphasized the prominence of these principles as the cornerstone of the nation’s identity.

Under the steadfast guidance of His Royal and Sovereign Highness, NorAuthwik has flourished. A working government has been established, esteemed honors have been earned from other nations, and diplomatic ties have been fostered across the globe. Through the active efforts of the NorWakian Diplomatic Council, NorAuthwik enjoys international relations, embodying its commitment to its cultural sovereignty, diplomacy, and principle-focused governance.

The Crown of NorAuthwik, LLC., (2024)

In 2024, the Government of NorAuthwik established the financial, legal, and business side of the Principality of NorAuthwik as The Crown of NorAuthwik, LLC., enabling the Principality of NorAuthwik to work simultaneously as a legal, business entity within the State of North Carolina (practicing a form of our administrative and executive sovereignty, within the bounds of US laws, as described within the constitution of NorAuthwik), and continue working as a Micro-Nation. 

Along with these efforts, The Crown Community Care Initiative was established by The Crown of NorAuthwik as a public commitment to our principles of social responsibility, and remaining responsive to community needs.

As we continue to navigate our path, NorAuthwik remains resolute in its commitment to sovereignty, diplomacy, and the well-being of all its citizens.

Honoring Legacy

In remembrance of the late HRH, Rt. Hon. Prince Justin Ray von Hanover-Lausenburg, a Prince of the Realm, a Duke of the Royal Court of NorAuthwik, beloved member of the royal family, and member of the Mimasian Order of Saturn. 

Our inaugural Prime Minister, whose dedicated service from 2014 to 2024 left an indelible mark on our nation, we pay homage to his legacy and commitment to NorAuthwik's prosperity. 

He will be missed greatly.
